The bikes have been in storage since June last year. Hopefully the November earthquake didn’t scramble them too much. But Anchorage is a loooooong way from home so a not-so-secret extraction team has been assigned to bring them a bit closer (Saskatoon). They parachute in on the 29th. Stay tuned....

Just a quick note that the three amigos have landed safely in Anchorage and retrieved the bikes from storage. Connected the batteries and sounds like the old girls needed a little coaxing to get fired up after nearly 15 months in cold storage.

But....Hyde’s bike (‘75 with forest fire graphics) had several frame cracks. A quick (and likely squirrelly) trip to a welder and seven welds later she’s about there. 7. Siete. 6+1. It had the biggest load (rider for sure, but also the extras).

:dunno: :dunno: Yeah that's the thing about those Hondas. You load 'em up with a few basics to go around the world with and a simple generator, ride a couple o' hundert miles on crapolla roads and before you know it after 40yrs. The dog gone frame cracks. I just don't know :dunno:

Yep. Update: bikes are in BC and other than my bike (ridden by a surrogate) consuming oil regularly, the only other modification is what Hyde called a “custom rack delete kit”. Basically my rear chrome rack that supported a knock-off Givi top case was broken at three supports. So the assembly (rack and cheap top case, which was fractured from last year) were liberated from the bike. She’s getting more nekkid by the mile....
