I hate to be a party pooper, but Beth and I are bowing out.

I am, and have been,looking forward to it, much as I was to vintage days. And the Paris run. But have come to the realization that it too may not be reality for me. My backyard has become my world this summer. As much as possible at least. You can only polish on a bike so many times before the urge to twist the throttle on a long run tries to take over. But I fear this is not the reality of these times. Will the threat be over by the middle of Sept? I doubt it. But hoping against hope, I am ready to roll. But....... well, time will tell. Have started marking my calendar for next year......and hoping that My health will allow me to have another year .... and that I will be able to expand my world beyond my back yard.

I’m keen to come .... but I think the reality will be that the border will still be closed .... already extended to August 21 and I think another month will be almost automatic ....

Maybe that Paris next spring will be our first chance ??

Looks like I'm going to have to bail on the Eastern run as well. Even if the border was open in mid-Sept., when I returned after the trip, I'd have to quarantine for 14 days. That's not something I can do as I'm still a working stiff. The decision is likely not mine to make anyway, as the border will likely continue to be closed to "non-essential" traffic through September and beyond.
Even the Blue Jays can't cross the border to play any home games in Toronto this year.
