Great looking crew!
Goldwings don't accelerate, they gain inertia.

1978 GL1000 - almost stock - needs a head replaced, parts are ready to install!
1979 GL1000 - Winter project/parts bike - custom "Busted"
1983 GL1100 Standard- raised from the dead and back to organ donor status
And the newest acquisition, 1979 XS 650F to be a sidecar tug. crossy.gif

Paul just left my place on his way home.Even if this run was light , it still was ,as always, a great time !Pretty relaxed with, just a few short rides, lots of quality time to catch up with old friends.Hard to believe this is the fifth time!I hope there will be plenty more to come. And a special thanks needs to go to Wild Bills for letting us park in their covered pavilion when the weather did turn rough.

I'm glad you all got to gather. With the current state of affairs in the US and elsewhere, I'm glad you all kept the tradition alive. I've got to remember my jokes for the 2024 campfire.

Glad to hear it Paul. Were you dry too? Did you do any calculations on your mileage (using western arithmatic)?
I've been getting 25 to 30mpg. Marilyn close to 60 and she has more power!

Yes a carb synch would smooth things out. Before I roll the green bike down into a gulley I'm going to try a few things. Mine runs rich and the needles need to be lowered. No way to do it but by golly I'm going to try to find one. Also I might try advancing the timing a tad. It feels like it's late. Or I could swipe your engine while you're not looking.
What was your speed for those tests? Did you have a head wind?
