I notice some of the pics have custom seats. Where do I go about finding these ?

No prayer, try Corban, or Hotwings. I bet Athens has some good upholstery guys. Draw the mounting base out on cardboard and let them help you design your own. Good luck. HOTT

Does it take many mods to fit a harley rear fender on?
1978 gl1000 for sale to fund new project

depends on the year of the bike the fender is from, and if you find a custom one. A company called Zassels makes some great raw fenders for custom bikes. They are unfinished with no holes.

Let's say I got a late 90's softail rear fender..


I guess it would be good to ask how does the rear fender mount?

As I recall, with four bolts, two on either side. As soon as you have the seat off, it will be very obvious. ;)

Most any fender with an outside width of 7 1/2 inches can be made to fit between the seat rail on the wings. Sometimes a little creativity is needed.. LOL
