Wheel bearing supplier

#1

Post by Larrys1911 »

anyone have a good source for GL1000 wheel bearings.

Ive gotten prices for (supposedly) SKF & FAG bearings (all 4) from a chinese supplier that totals less than 8$

other prices locally are around 60 for the same 4.

what should the prices be?

Thanks

$2 a piece for bearings would scare me. Probably have to replace them after a few months. $60 sounds like a quality product and more in line with what I would expect to pay.

I've not had good luck with the chinese bearings on my farm equipment. They don't last very long. Appears to me you get what you pay for. Just my 2 cents

You definitely want to stick with a name brand or you will not be happy. If my bike never left town I might try a 2 dollar bearing but that is not the case for me. Spend a bit of money and do the job once ;)

60 is not bad. figure most run 12-20 each for decent quality

$28 for the pair at our local supplier. (Sealed both sides) I think the brand is NTN?
