Fork ear upper and lower rubbers - alt part suggestions?
I am working on installing a Standard GL1100 headlight on my GL1100. When I put in the the fork ears (should I pull the tubes or pull top of triple-t to install?), it looks to me like there are upper and lower rubber pieces that compress to hold each ear in place. Any idea of sources for used pieces, dimensions of the two rubber pieces, or cross references?

I had this done on my 1975 GL1000 because the chrome fork ears had rust and I sanded and painted them black for that Rat Bike appearance.
I helped the mechanic pull the the fork tubes. We did not undo the triple tree.
My front wheel and calipers were already pulled for other reasons, so I don't know if the hydraulic lines are long enough to pull the fork tubes while the wheel and calipers are installed.
