odd source for some parts

Post by salukispeed »

I have a 84 gl 1200 and was looking up parts for my jeep from "Rock Auto" when I noticed they had a section for motorcycles and marine too. I looked at NGK iridium plugs for $6.49 and Gates timing belt T070 for $6.80 and Wix oil filters with the "O" rings for $4.27 and thought these were pretty good pricing. I have used Rock Auto for quite some time now and they have always been fast and fair. I ordered a set of each item and should have them by Monday.

I order my belts from Charlie and once in a while from Rock. The belts from either are of good quality.
I found the end of the internet

Just talked to them and they are really new gates belts. also they stock the Gates T274 belts for the 1000 but are $12.29 each. Still reasonable

Just ordered a set of Gates belts for my 1200....$13.60 plus shipping. Glad this was brought to our attention, I've used RockAuto many times and never gave bikes a thought for maint. parts.
