Turbos are NOT Terrible

for those of you that have M.B.S. (multiple bike syndrome) and have the "silver wing" models.
as our sponsors also have supplies for those bikes and they are popular with the "wing" crowd.

Turbos are NOT Terrible

This topic came up recently and I had to chuckle.

viewtopic.php?f=29&t=73224

Why? Because I was in negotiation at the time with a gentleman for the very same motorcycle that the article leads off with - a CX500 Turbo.

Well, the negotiations are over and the motorcycle is now in the shop. Warts at all. I normally like to start with a more solid foundation, only because I'm lazy and cheap. Truthfully, it's not that bad, it's just going to take more work than I tend to really want to put into them.

Stay tuned, and I haven't really decided whether this one is next or the 750 SOHC Supersport is next. Decisions, decisions.

Nice score! Looks like it's in pretty good condition. Does it need mechanical work?

I don't think it should need much mechanically. Cosmetics...well. Guy had a bunch - including a CBX. Says he only pulled it apart to have it painted and decided he wasn't going to finish before his move to Prescott - literally into Mike Nixon's neighborhood.

I'll see if I can fire it up soon and then decide which will be the next victim.
