I should point out that covers from other years did not fit...which was why I made my own.

I think 1100 cam covers will fit perfectly.

Wingrider, that is going to be fun.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

I have the same issue with the cam on my 78. Guess I will have to get out the hacksaw.

Alrighty....much of what I have isn't on the bike yet, but is in the garage. Some of you may have seen that I sold my Weber carbs, and that is because these are going in their place:

These are Jenvey IDF 40 throttle bodies. So, I am going to make this one fuel injected! I have discussed the thought of running the Nitrous better with one of our esteemed members on here, and fuel injection was highly encouraged.

At the moment, this is what I have for the injectors and such. I will be running the Megasquirt 3.57 ecu which I have, but no picture.

I have to figure out what O rings and rubber bushings I need to make these injectors stick in the throttle body, and the fuel rail. Seems stock 1200 injectors stuck in there well, but these RC racing injectors flow a bit more than the stock 1200.

I have also been spending some time looking at Revival Cycle's website, and decided to get some fancy stuff for the electrical. I will be completely re-wiring the bike using the Motogadget m-Unit for fusing abilities. I will also be using the Motogadget m-Lock to get rid of the ignition key switch.

For the handlebars, I decided a to do something a little different than my original plan. I installed Motogadget m-Blaze cone handlebar end LED turn signals, and CRG bar end mirrors. They look kind of this this:

The m-Blaze cone will be able to be seen from the front and the rear. I have some some m-Blaze Pin LED blinkers that I plan to mount in the rear of the bike which should be able to be seen nicely.

I also picked up some small brake and clutch lines, which should hide pretty well. I also picked up the headlight bucket and headlight brackets. I am going to be installing an LED Trucklite headlight.

tomk1960 has been doing an outstanding job of powdercoating for me!

So, that is what this project is up to. I still need to get some header wrap to finish the exhaust...that is a picture that can't yet be shown.

Here is a shot of the headlight bucket and the LSL headlight brackets which mount on the forks.

The bucket was powdercoated a super glossy black...should look great on the bike!

How much ride height (if any) are you losing in the front with your excellent fork swap? You made that look easy.

What are your plans for exhaust?

You keep taking it up another level.
I'm impressed!

Thanks guys! As far as ride height, I think I lost a good couple inches. This bike is going to be a more or less a straight line runner.

The exhaust is one from a member here, guess it sounds kind of unique! You will see pictures after a while. :-D

I'm loving the Jenvey throttle bodies. I can't believe I didn't find your build before now.
