Anyway, I used JB Weld to connect the casing, sanded it, installed it, & now it works. Works for now, right?

There's a new Goldwing build over on bikeexif.com. Blueberry Bomber from Krakenhead builders.

That's a pretty wild looking goldwing. It looks weird when they move the gas tank, it leaves a big void in the frame.Patriccio wrote:There's a new Goldwing build over on bikeexif.com. Blueberry Bomber from Krakenhead builders.

Re: Never Ever B4 seen photos of a Goldwing
Dear Diary,
I think that funny feeling around my nape has dissipated a bit. I hung a big front door today, so there weren't a lot of people around to talk about me behind my back. Light was fading fast as I rolled up to the Procrastinator's Patio Workshop for the Partially Disabled & Grumpy. And I was thinking about Our Hairdo in Chief's last tweet. Apparently, someone in his entourage mentioned CKUA (you know, the radio station up there in Canada?), & for some silly reason he thought the call letters mean
"CANADA KAN'T UNDERSTAND AMERICA," and somehow not really understanding that Canada is part of the Americas. Time for a beer. I was able to install the front fender & the fork brace--a total of eight screws. I can't remember the last time I was this productive after work.

Re: Never Ever B4 seen photos of a Goldwing
Heck yea, man. I've been riding it through my complex & around my neighborhood for a couple of years. Yesterday something was up because it kept stalling. I think something was clogging the fuel supply. I turned the petcock up 'n down several times, loaded in some Sea Foam, mildly chastised it for being slovenly, checked the idle screw, & then just let it idle for several minutes. Then it roared. The little kids across the street loved it! I let them sit on it. They're only about 6 or 7, but they've watched me build the thing these past four years. Now, I have to dig out the grips & mirrors & figure out how to make them work together.
Goboy, I've been listening to CKUA, but they've had this fund drive, so the music is sparse.

Re: Never Ever B4 seen photos of a Goldwing
Nice, I was 6 or 7 when I had my first ride on my uncle's Harley. Going around a corner I thought could have reached out and touched the ground. I listen to CKUA in my truck and in the garage when I'm working on the bike, but I'm too busy right now. I have a little side project installing a stair lift for my mother-in-law, only works in one direction. Last week I installed a new water pump in the truck and fixed the dish washer (Yaaaa! no more hand washing).

As long as it works going up, you're ok. Just fit a slide to come back down!Goboy wrote:I have a little side project installing a stair lift for my mother-in-law, only works in one direction.

I think one of our members is a specialist at buffing metal; perhaps he can polish the slide for optimum speed on descent.

Re: Never Ever B4 seen photos of a Goldwing
Some kind of cacophony roused me from deep slumber. 5:45 a.m. Slowly, very slowly, I reached out from under my covers for my mighty .22 caliber to convince those involved of my seriousness. I grabbed what I thought was the handle, but it turned out to be a four-day-old sandwich & an empty beer bottle. Funny how stale bread feels like the butt of a mighty .22 caliber. Actually, I don't even own a mighty .22 caliber, but I do have a ten year old plastic pellet gun. Birds were singing like they were extras in a Walt Disney production. This time I cut the birds a break.
It made me think about my personality weaknesses. I've spent probably eight or nine seconds on thinking about my human flaws. Deep, deep thinking, the best deepness. I've concluded that I have weaknesses for beer, ice cream, & pretty women. Over-indulging in two will make me fat, over-indulging in the other makes me nuts. Hence my reaction to the birds this morning.
[Disclaimer: After all the feedback regarding this post, I have to iterate this: I would never, ever throw a stale sandwich at a bird.]
After a bicycle ride this morning, I gathered my skills & installed the grips & mirrors.
Here is where I installed the thingy w/ two or three other thingies. Bike w/ mirrors. Additional pic of bike-with-mirrors-and-other-attachments ABOVE
Here's a shot from inside the kitchen, about four feet from the coffee maker. You know, I was going to upgrade the bike w/ a Mr. Coffee Machine, but I couldn't get much farther than the end of the driveway, even w/ a very long extension cord. I then figured I could actually just buy coffee on the road.
The Puppy isn't done yet; nearly though.
Safe riding to all, & to all a good day.

Just like a puppy that grows to resemble it's owner, your Puppy is a good reflection of you. Lean, mean, fit and ready to run. And just a little offbeat.
Oh, wait, The paintwork is so shiny that it's actually a true reflection of you, and the great weather you are having.
Great stuff Patriccio

I've got the same mirrors on my bike, I really like the way they look. It's got a classy old school look to them, and they are real glass mirrors. I tested mine out and broke one of them out, the frame of the mirror flexed more than the glass mirror go figure.
