Nothing to do during recovery but buy some more scotch. This time I bought the 12 year-old double cask.

Starter solenoid not installed yet; still too hot around here for a guy like me to work on hot pavers.

Here's a beautiful shot of the brand new ignition. So far I have installed a new starter motor, a new starter relay solenoid, & now the new ignition.
Dead, still dead. I don't the the lights or turn signals or brake light. Now, it wasn't too long ago that I had the lights; it was right after installing the second starter motor. Today I aligned the bike & the truck & jumped the bike w/ cables. Nothing. Not even a one candle-power glimmer.

I can't do the Rain Dance because water & electricity have an adversarial relationship. I can't do the Sun Dance because lately the temperature has hovered around 85-100 degrees; don't need any more sun. Can't do the Moon dance because, well, that's just way too Van Morrison.
I'll have to consult my "Idiots Book on the Electrical Dark Arts" book & see if there's some other way of pleasing Mother Nature & Gaia. I'm sure my mother is tampering w/ my life from her grave, also; as she has been since I emerged w/ a cigar in my baby gums & asking for whiskey.

The scooter is back up on the rack & awaiting the attention of Patriccio the Procrastinating ER Doc. Once I find a nickel's worth of time, I'll diagnose the Evasive Electrical Gremlin, Prognosticate & Repair. Simple, right?

It rained this morning. That's a good sign; it means more water for the potted plants I don't actually have on the patio. After the rain, I drove to a guy's house to again look at a 2004 BMW R1100s. Not comfortable, so I didn't buy it. Beautiful bike w/ excellent maintenance.

Inch by inch, wire by wire, I creep along the harness looking for gremlins. But they are so sly, they play games w/ me as I approach discovery of my problem. Meanwhile, summer passes & my helmet gets dusty.

Patricio, was wondering where you'd got to. Was worried that you were pickled in a new scotch!

Now, I have to determine the cause of the Puppy's break down. Was it an existential crisis? Was it wondering about its placement in the world, its placement in the galaxy as I plied my way up the Pacific Coast Highway all those generations ago?

Simulated drone shot before I moved the Puppy onto the jack stand. First, I had to remove the exhaust system and the Gopher Guard.

Where, Oh, where shall I find the time to work on the Puppy?
Oh! I fear I have no jobs. There's beer in the fridge, so all is well.
