Congratulations on BOTM beautiful work, beautiful bike.
Bikes at present:

83 XL 600r with a 2004 XR650L engine
And a slightly worse for the wear BMW GS adventure bike awaiting repair

It started summer 2014 with this......
The K1 was for 32 years stored (under cover) and untouched in my garage..........

there are all other manner of projects out there, high end, low end, this, that or the other thing, etc etc

but there are none other like a 'rudolphwolven Project'

Beautiful bike Rudd.
Looking at your pictures you have used the Gates 5119 timing belts. These are a good solution ,yes?

The 5119 number was used over this side of the Pond. It is noted as 19mm x 86T, as distinct from the T274 which is 3/4" x 86T. As my old Grandfather would say "same meat, different gravy".

Are the 5119 belts not 87 teeth?

Sorry, senior moment brain fart! Yes, of course. both these belts are 87 teeth. Essentially they are both the same belt; I have no idea why Gates numbers them differently.
