Should be ready next month I just need to order about a million parts after Xmas, it seems to have drained my budget for the moment

You need to drill out the stake points in the bearing retainer. If not it is nearly impossible to remove it. To remove the bearings I use one of these. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Internal-Extrac ... 22&vxp=mtr[/quote]
Using a slide hammer to beat the bearings out of the hub via the inner race ruins them. Bearings are cheep, please replace those damaged bearings before they kill you.

I'm not sure where you got the slide hammer idea because that is not what I used, I heated the Hub up with my small propane torch and knocked them out each side with very little force I checked them after re greaseing and reinstalling them they spin smoothly and have no up/down play I appreciate you trying to give advice but please make sure you know what happened before trying to put the fear of God in someone

The tool that you said you used is described by the seller you mentioned when I asked about doing this as "Internal & Extractor 9PC Blind Hole Pilot Bearing Puller Remove W/Slide Hammer". The photo in the ebay add clearly shows a slide hammer. That's where I got the slide hammer idea. Ball bearings are single use parts. All new wheel bearings for your bike only cost $30. Spending thousands at the emergency room because you tried to save $30 on bearings is silly.

You are correct it was Robin that used the slide hammer. You used an axle to beat the bearings out of the wheel hub, that's worse! You should be scared of reusing those bearings, they are ruined. Most of the wheel bearings I've replaced for customers had been "removed and regreased" by the owner. Good luck.

I did graphic design in college for awhile so I drew up some new gauge face decals to match the bikes theme there not done and the 9k rpm red zone didn't print properly but it gives you a rough idea what they will look like.

I can't tell you how much difference ss lines make on a Goldwing since I am still in the process of replacing the brake lines on mine, but I can tell you that they were absolutely worth it on my XS750.Ndlucky13 wrote:Did some work on the brakes pics make it better of course, I'm thinking about upgrading to ss lines deciding if it's worth $120

Difference is very noticeable. Hard to notice when you rebuild the whole system at once time. I have replaced just the lines on bikes before. Night and day difference. Worth every dime. IMO

I had this 06 GSXR 600 with stainless lines all around and it had marchesini rims it stopped very well but after this I moved to a 05 GSXR 1000 with rubber lines and it was I would say better not sure why maybe a better master cylinder on the front

Could have just been better brakes. You can't really compare the two though. Now if you had changed the rubber lines on the 1000 to SS then you would have something to compare. Not to the 600 but what the 1000 was like with rubber lines compared to what it was like with the SS lines.
