Re: The hunt 2
The bike is great, no questions about it; the attention to detail, the workmanship, the lines, the colour scheme, everything, I really like it. That being said, the fact you were able to found the original owners of the bike, Ben and Thelma Walker, and their picture from back then, is the detail that touched me the more on the whole story. Congrats Moto nut on a job very well done.

I have a question, what did you do to restore the fasteners/bolts on this bike, they look almost new??

This is a fantastic machine I do have questions though where did you get the seat? I am wanting a low profile seat for my bike.

Jack, welcome to the forum! it was mentioned by the owner in post 28. It is a Triumph Speed triple seat.

Re: The hunt 2
I hate to revive a year old thread, but I am curious which size Lester is on the rear. I came into possession of my wife's uncle's 77 GL1000 with Lesters on it , I'm not sure if I like how the 16" looks. But if it looks good as yours after trimming the fat and cleanup, I'd be very happy indeed.

Re: The hunt 2
The rear is a 16, the Lester’s were the biggest reason to purchase the bike, but all in all things worked out
