That rear crash bar almost looks like the ones on the Fulmer tour package.

I may be able to. I have to measure the wheel base. Not a big deal if I can't. Her bike is a 2019 so it's not like things are going to start wearing out and breaking..I hope.

My snap ring pliers have interchangeable tips. One trick is to make sure the 90 degree tips are just slightly pointed away from each other. Seems to help grabbing the snap ring.

I tried that but the tip's are 6 sided and it puts the tips at to much of an angle. The tip of them is quite small and when the tension of the snap ring gets strong they slip out.
I bought a better snap ring plier but do you think I can remember where I put the spare tips. :(

You are making great progress. Those circlips can be a pain, but the right tool makes it much easier. I went shopping for one just for that job and I have been glad many times since. I never had much success with those interchangeable ones.
I am looking forwatd to seeing your new delicious painted bits fitted.

Xcellant! Always regretted not getting my baby down to stark naked. Maybe my last chance at my age, maybe not. Anyway your bike will hopefully appreciate your efforts. Good work so far.

Thanks. This was not the plan for the bike. It was the first one I bought and I went thru it in preparation for riding it.
Then it jumped off the trailer on me when I was turning in to the driveway of the motorcycle shop I was taking it to so they could sync the carbs because as I found out later..I was reading the gauges wrong.
While it was there the owner called me about a goldwing he just took in on trade. Said it was just like mine and he would give me a great deal on it. (By great deal I mean I pretty much stole it from him)
I bought it, rode it home and I've been riding it almost trouble free for 2 years.
So I decided to strip the 76 down to the frame and repaint, polish everything that needs it and put her back together.
Definitely going about it bass ackwards as I've already rebuilt everything on her. lol
