I haven't even started stripping the bike down yet.
I'm busy taking winter tires off vehicles, fixing the small rust spots on the sons car, fixing the fender on the boss's bike, getting a new battery for it, putting the snow blower away, putting the mower deck on the tractor and most importantly helping babysit my little cattle baroness.

The last couple days I .......took the studded tires off the wife's Mini-Cooper, put 3 snowblowers away, got the lawn mower running, changed batteries on my buddy's bike and I started fixing rust bubbles on my truck.........yep, pretty much what you said...

Heading out to take the studded tires off the wife's terrain here shortly..then put the battery in her bike..then redo the fender for it because someone scratched it.

I tried..he was babbling about owning the place or something. lol
Got the tires switched, bike battery in and I'm calling it quits for the afternoon. Our grand daughter is here for the day and will be waking up from her nap soon.

got these pics today from my friend that is painting the body panels, saddle bags, fenders and fairing for my 76 build...
He is crazy busy and has been working on them as time permits..
I told him the colour I wanted and I wanted old school scallops..and left it up to him as far as design..
Man..I'm pumped now to get at it..

all the panels,bags,etc will be that colour. Brandywine..
not sure what the scallops will be. we discussed ghost ones but I left it up to him..he is the expert in these things.
The majority of the shiny stuff is going to be various shades of black..or affectionately known as hillybilly chrome.

With fluxcore,splatter is a given. You can use a spray everywhere but the weld location to keep it from sticking,or tape it. As for weld quality,it looks like you need more amps,less feed. I've seen worse,you'll get it.
yes, I tell people I splatter not weld.... but I blame it on the HF cheapo welder
