That's what I'm talking about! It's no beater now! "Small and sporty"? I'll agree with the sporty part, but...

Nice work! Any "before" pictures? Sorry if you've posted them already.

<<EDIT: I think I found it in a thread you posted in November. It had good bones. Good candidate. Wise purchases always make more sense in the long run - unless you're a glutton for punishment.

Looking good,nice job on rebuilding seat ,great improvement,also like the blacked our side panels,cleans up and simplifies look

OK, I was right, the photo shows a Valkyrie. If the 1100 seems small and sporty, you must have been riding a Valk or maybe a Roadglide! Looking good. Proves it is possible to do a low budget build.
Bikes at present:

83 XL 600r with a 2004 XR650L engine
And a slightly worse for the wear BMW GS adventure bike awaiting repair

Don't we all! About half my builds I make a few bucks, on the other half I loose or maybe break even but it is a way of funding a hobby and most hobbies are expensive.
