Re: Evolution of the Purple Prayer
Quite the neat project! Well done! The color is interesting...thought perhaps you had chameleon paint that was blue and would change to purple in the right light!

Re: Evolution of the Purple Prayer
How did you align the drive shaft?
If there is one thing I have learned throughout this process it is this: Check your respirator for spiders before you put it on.

Re: Evolution of the Purple Prayer
The prop shaft runs at a slight angle and is out of line by about 2" over a 2' length, so far it has not been a problem but putting new tubes on the axle to move it in direct line would be an option. A fairly costly option but as the axle is not cast as one piece it can, and has, been done.

Re: Evolution of the Purple Prayer
Shouldn't be an issue...4x4s routinely run waaaaay more angle without any problems.DuncanV wrote:The prop shaft runs at a slight angle and is out of line by about 2" over a 2' length, so far it has not been a problem but putting new tubes on the axle to move it in direct line would be an option.
