Got new brake pipes made up. The old ones were the originals, and the date ring indicated 11/75.

I presume you are referring to the wiring. I can see why the Dyna 3 was disconnected at some point.5speed wrote:wow...it's a wonder it didn't catch on fire.
There must have been loads of problems judging by the state of the connections.

Re: Yellow Peril Fixer Upper
I do have some history of servicing. The previous owner marked all the oil changes as they were done.
Oil and Filter were changed at 6000, 8000,10000,13000,15500,16509, 18492, 21500, 24000, 27500, 29000, 30350 and 31250.
There is now 31779 miles on the odometer.

Re: Yellow Peril Fixer Upper
In addition, according to the notes,
at 24,000 a new water pump was fitted.
At 27,500 New rear brakes, I presume pads. Also final drive gear oil was changed.
At 29,000 new timing belts and something else I cannot really make out, I think it is Lifter Adjusters?
At 30,350 I have a receipt from Burton L Ives in Columbia CT dated 18th November 1994 for the following:
Carbs Cleaned, New coils, Oil change and Filter and a new battery. Front calipers were rebuilt.
There was one further oil change done, at 31,250 presumably sometime in the 1990s and has only done a few miles over 500 since.
