Re: 76 LTD Restoration
Thank you Darrell for all your help. I really appreciated the help. I'd probably still working on it if you hadn't helped! Now I'm turning my attention to the circlip that's deep inside the front brake master cylinder. None of my three sets of pliers can reach down that far. Honda has a part number for the pliers but I'm sure they're unobtanium by now. I'll see if I can fab something up.
Thanks again for your help!
John

I have run into the same problem, let me know if you find a solution.... isn't unobtanium one of those "rare earth" elements?

I picked up an inexpensive needle nosed pliers and fine-tuned the ends.

Re: 76 LTD Restoration
Today was a good day for the bike. So far the following items have been completed or are in process.
Gas tank has been pulled. The cleaning process starts tomorrow.
The valves have been adjusted.
Timing belts have been replaced (thanks again Darrell)
Front brake calipers have been rebuilt.
Front master cylinder will be finished tomorrow. The circlip came out using both the ice picks.
The rear brake pads are scheduled for delivery tomorrow. I should have it back together by Saturday.
The carbs have been removed (thanks Darrell) and have been shipped to Mike Nixon.
The rotors have been shipped to Hampster to be drilled.
My goal is to have the rear master cylinder rebuilt over the weekend.

Re: 76 LTD Restoration
I know there are a couple very good carb rebuilders on this forum who I'm sure would have done a very good job. Mike was highly recommended and I felt more comfortable shipping my carbs to Prescott. There was no disrespect intended.

Re: 76 LTD Restoration
Thank you Cody. I'm certainly getting some assistance with the project. This weekend I plan on putting the radiator back on, lubing the clutch cable, putting the tank back in the bike and putting on the final drive unit.
Hampster is drilling the rotors. I'll post pictures of them once they return, which I think should be very soon. Mike should have the carbs finished, hopefully, by the end of January.

A big shout out to Hampster. The rotors look great! Should have them this week and will put them back on the wheels this weekend.
