care to share? how and where
I replaced the u joint with a Moog 405. It’s the third one I’ve done. Little tricky but doable.

I searched through MikeNTexas total Topics history and found he had quite extensively posted information about his Ujoint replacement project, late December, 2020. tumb2

Making a little more progress. Fuel tank is cleaned, painted and installed. Cooling system cleaned and installed. Next will be wiring, brakes and controls.

Free sounds like a good start to a profitable build. It sounds like you are basically building a large model bike set from scratch.... bet it fun to tinker with it a little bit at a time

I’ve been working on wiring for a couple days. I’m ditching the reserve lighting unit, resister and diodes and just keeping the basics. I unwrapped the harness and pulled out all of the unnecessary wires. I also mounted a universal ignition switch under the shelter area. When I get done with the wiring I’ll wrap it all back up. I also welded some brackets onto the single carb manifold to mount the coils to.

The streamlined wiring is done, wrapped and working. Got new rubbers and I’ve started working on some zaust pipes for some upswept mufflers. I’m looking for a CB 900C front fender if anyone has one they’re willing to part with. See several on eBay but hate to take a chance on quality.

Two thumbs up.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

I got parts back from the painter today. He used some leftover paint from another job. Cost…..$150. Couldn’t be happier.

Wow! Things clearly happen when you get busy. Nice job with the coils.

I think we'd all like one of those leftover-paint deals. If I'm not mistaken, didn't you drive X hours for a super inexpensive set of plastics that included freshly painted fenders, side panels, and false tank to finish another build? Is there an offering you make to the gods of paint? An incantation? Or is that just part of how Texas works?
