So I am restoring a 76 GL1000. Any Engine paint color recommendations? I would like to match the original color. Manufacturer and color would be appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Engine Paint
Here is what I use and it is a proper engine paint from Dupli-Color that is very close to the original Honda silver. It is important to get the Aluminum colour as shown, since they also have other silver type finishes that are not as close in colour. I have used this on many projects over the past 10 years with great success.
They have also just come out with a brand new engine paint primer which is necessary to prime the engine cases before a repaint. The primer part # CDE1612 is a Canadian number, although the #1612 should cross over to a US Dupli-Color version.
As in any paint job the prep and cleaning and degreasing and removal of old scaled paint is the most important.
Here it is on a couple of engines that were painted with it.
