a fun run with bettyboop

#1

Post by detdrbuzzard »

some of you may remember bettyboop, she's riding a nekked '82 wing nowdays. saturday my nephew dewey and i met up with her in redford.mi at I-96 and us-24. we headed south on us-24 through redford, dearborn, and dearborn hts. we took I94 west from there out to jackson. mi and picked up us-127 going south. it was a cool morning ride but nowhere near cold. we made it to us-12 and us-127 and stopped at town and country cycle. they were haveing a memorial ride but we skipped it and bummed around the dealership. there were a couple '12 wings on the floor now and i like the look of the white and silver one they had. there is also a '10 wing in the retal / demo part of the store and i got to compairing the '10 and '12 wings. if i were to get a new wing it would be a leftover '10. why? weight. one of honda's goal when the 1800 went into production was to make it lighter than the 1500 wing, and it did but now the '12 wing weighs in at 900+ pounds. i don't want a bike that weighs more than my 1500 wing

leaving town an country we headed nort on us-127 then east on m-50 passing through tippin and tecumech before arriving at cabela's in dundee, mi. once in the door we all went in different directions, i headed for the camping equipment area to see if they had a 33oz msr fuel bottle but no luck as the largest the had was the 20oz bottle. we met back up at our bikes and then continued east on m-50 into monroe, it was sad to see the lazy boy recliner factory closed. we made a left heading north on us-24 then north again on I-275. west on I-94 then m-39 to the house and a total of 200.8 miles for bettyboop

after the accident on her 1000 wing she got a 1200ltd that was all messed up and was very disappointed about it. i let her ride my 1200 wing until she got the 1100. between work ( a new job ) and the candy shop she and her husband opened there hasn't been much time to get on any forum for her

Good to hear Betty's doing good!!!! Wish her the best of luck from us with the new Candy Store!!!

I don't know why I have thing for boat tailed Sportsters, they look like a carnival ride, maybe that's it.
Peace,
Frank
