Gnaw Bone Lunch Run report

#1

Post by brokentoe »

We had a beautiful day for riding, albeit a chilly start. Southern Indiana is known for tree-lined, winding highways that climb over hills, run along ridgelines and plunge into deep valleys. Along the way there are villages with such colorful names as Bean Blossom, Stone Head, Popcorn, and of course Gnaw Bone, home of Gnaw Mart, the only place that serves up the nationally acclaimed Gnaw Bone tenderloin sandwich. The Gnaw Mart is a gas station with a dining room/storage room that most likely used to be the shop where mechanics would do their wrenching. It seemed perfect for our casual gathering of Naked Goldwing club members. The sandwich was excellent and was served with home made potato chips. Bearwing bought the sandwiches, so a big thank you to him. Bearwing also demonstrated in the picture of the meal that the Tenderloin sandwich is as big as your head. Thanks to everyone who came for making it such a fun event. Anyone else who wants to chime in on this is welcome. A few photos follow:

Had a great time guys. The food was good and the BS session was even better. Could not have imagined a better way to spend a lovely day..
Tim thanks for making it happen and Bear Wing thank you for being so generous.
We should do it again soon.

That was a great lunch, good food, good friends and nice bikes. Enjoyed meeting new faces and shaking hands with them, that's what this board is all about.
Also you can see in the photos I got my black 78 running just last week-end. Only had about a 100 miles on it before starting this lunch ride. IT's NICE!
Thanks to everyone that showed up for lunch, I really enjoyed it.

joedrum is absolutely right. Cyborg's scoot has an elegance and polish that you have to see to appreciate. Imagine a hammer made out of the best materials and with a custom leather grip made exactly to your hand dimensions.
