As sun goes down we safely make it to the gas station.. 4,5 gallons in the tank was a close call. Some guys drinking beer in a garage in the back provides a spare fuse.. They have been working with fences in the mountains and show pictures of the hailstorm we luckily missed!

We eat the burrito at midnight. Decision is made to save the Grand Canyon for next time, and just check out Bryce Canyon on the way to Vegas today!

While i gently crawl in under the guys dashboard to locate the fuses I notice hes an exact copy of the Heissenberg character from the Breaking Bad TV series.... It all takes about half an hour to get the spare fuse out of a modern Ford hybrid car... Just no room for fingers!

New fuse in the bike and were ready to go! Question is if whatever caused the fuse to blow is still a problem...? Will it melt directly? Its 40 miles to the next gas station and we have about a gallon in the tank.... Its getting dark... Rains are coming closer... As safety precaution I change the position of the Burrito so that it will not interfere with the fairing wiring...
if lucky, fuses can just blow, repeats means something is up tho, then if lucky again, you may discover that the fuse only blows when you turn something on, that you may not even need

have a close look at wiring stuff for anything obvious that points to problems, carry a bunch of spare fuses in the meantime

Nice trip!
Put a couple of Harley's (one red and one blue) in Amanda's parents garage and you'll have free electrical support from TLE on your next trip...

Alright..

Yesterday we woke up in the "sunglow motel" right in the middle of nowhere, that means halfway between Vail and Vegas.. Amanda brought great breakfast to the room including all kinds of cakes and sweet stuff which was way too much, so one cake went into the Burrito-pocket in the fairing. Come to think of its still there actually..

Anyway we went on beautiful roads across open range cattle fields and up and down hills and over and around rock formations of all kinds of shapes.. Very meditative riding and we good flow right from the start.

Some rain right before entering the Bryce Canyon, but nothing to bad.

After that we made it to Las Vegas around 10pm and checked into a hotel across the street from the Hard Rock.. Our show didnt start until 5 in the morning, so after a quick nap and a double espresso it was showtime! Not to many people in the audience, but we had fun!

Las Vegas is a strange place.. Its fun and depressing at the same time...

After sleeping all day and hanging out by the pool, finally I met my aunt for the first time. Familiar and strange at the same time, she was great. I wish we had more time to hear her stories, because she must have so many, working in Ceasars Palaces suites since the 80's....
