I took a little road trip with my friends Warren (skydog) and Paul (GL1-242). We met up at Warrens in Rapid City, SD and headed west. Through the BigHorn Mountains, Yellowstone, Lolo Pass, Bear Tooth Pass and some other forests and Passes on our way to Puyallup, WA to hang out with Warrens brother. I rode my 83 1100 in full geezer glide dress complete with fairing and trunk and pulling a trailer. Warren rode his 84 1200 with vetter bags and Paul rode a 75 of Warrens with soft saddle bags.

As I recall, this is somewhere in Wyoming the first day out.

Now we get to Yellowstone. We had spent the night before in Cody, WY.

I was in Yellowstone as a kid but I didn't remember a lake.

People talking to Paul about old goldwings. This happened a lot, plan extra time when traveling by old wing.

these are in Montana.
Good pic of the geezer glide. I'm leaving the fairing on but the trunk will come off. It sure was handy for travel.

Eastern Washington - it was record breaking heat while we were there. Pretty, but hot !

While in Washington we got to visit Richard (sunnbobb). Fixed Paul up with a nre rear shoe. We also had to install rear brake pads. And Richard fixed me up with some good coffee.

We covered a lot of territory. Not bad for 30-40 year old bikes. No major problems besides some foot pegs loosening up. We put the spurs to them going through some of the passes, too. Lot of fun. Don't be afraid to get out there on the old wing. And people just love to see them, too. Always folks coming up to us, telling us old wing stories or just admiring the old girls.

Oh yes so much fun.
I'll ride with you guys any time anywhere.
Record heat and all the thing you have to deal with out on the road . I think we ran into about 2 minutes of rain.
Great to see you Russ and meet your wife hope she can make the ride out next year.
Always a pleasure running into Richard.
Thanks for the tire and letting me use your shop and tools.
I can't wait to see everyone in Deadwood next year.

Paul
