When used properly, which the dyno in that video isn't close to, they are a very useful tool. They are not built to have the power applied like in that video.

LOL, you are right. The person that built that bike was all about how much better it was and how much more power it made. anim-cheers1

If the one I'm thinking of, he broke a belt and ate some valves (I sent him a few old ones). Yep, broke a belt because he hadn't changed them. Ever.

When I put mine on a dyno it was $100. The exhaust gas numbers let me know for sure that it was running WAY lean at top end. That was worth something right there. Horsepower got fluttery up high (too lean) but it hit 77.5.
Fuel mileage is about 32. That's with four 28mm throats and 420cfm into a 61 inch engine. It idles like a pup and will get up and do the full tilt boogie.
I believe Big Daddy Don Garlits, Smokey Yunick, and Robin Ray would approve.

Here is a dyno chart I have had made 15 years ago with a homemade steel manifold and a Weber 30/32 DMTR carb. Stock jetting, bike otherwise stock except dyna ignition.
Bike went ok, but idle was never satisfying. Went back to stock carbs later.

66 KW is 88 hp. That’s not bad.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

Eric...Not bad? - that's world class. The blower bikes only make about 90 horses. And taunusrainer's comment that "The bike went ok." doesn't really sound like 88 horses.
I went back to July 2012 and found this one. I have a different engine in it now but with mostly the same stuff in it.

Hey, does this come under the heading of "I'll show ya mine if you show me yours."?

Going to 135 air correctors straightened out the lean top end. I figure 76-78 horses. Funny thing about the GL1000, stock was about 58ftlbs, mine made about 60ftlbs, and Randakk's blower bike made about 61ftlbs.
