GL1200 SCC - Which VW Carb Model is Best?

#1

Post by macson »

There are so many VW carb clones models (PICT 1, PICT 3, 30, 31 etc.)out there so I was wondering if anyone could recommend the best model to use on GL1200 SCC.
Thanks,
Scott

I went with a Solex 30 on my 1000 after starting off with a 34, then started playing with the jets.
Wasnt quite finished when a red light runner totaled the bike.
Heated my manifold, I have a thread here.

Ran pretty well despite not being done with the jetting. Note the lovely idle at the end!
