I received a call yesterday afternoon from the owner of GL1-1000002 GoldWing.
His name is Dan Dearmond from Idaho and he wants us to do the restoration work on this extremely unique and very rare Preproduction Prototype GoldWing.
We should receive it in December and begin the work after the first of the year.
The finished unit will make its second debut at WingDing 37 at Huntsville, AL., all things permitted.
This remarkable GoldWing is without doubt the oldest roadworthy unit in the world and was one of five on display at the September 1974 Honda Dealer Show in Las Vegas, NV.
Soon after Jan 1, I will provide a link to the units progress.
Many parts and configurations on this unit have proven to me that it is genuine.
Attached is a picture with the shelter lid open as well as the side shelter covers.
Note the really cool latches for the side covers. At the top center you will see the pull lever for the right side.
The mechanism for the left side is really cool.
