Here is a picture which includes me. This was taken last weeking while on tour with my buddies.
I am the bearded guy on the right making a GL1800 look small.
Planes are not built for someone of my stature.

Haha. I have that same problem. I don't fit in a lot of places. I'm the old fat guy with the beard sitting on the steps.

Very cool! (Pun intended) But I’m pretty happy I’m stuck in FL for the moment. Not a big fan of that white stuff.

First of all, Merry Christmas y’all.

Got to fly this lil beastie last week. Different world altogether, but still glad I’m not a full time jet dude... suitcases are too big.

No Avgas for me. I enjoy the challenge of staying in the air with no combustion help.

My first glider was a heavily modified Libelle 301. Traded up to a DG-300, very comfy 42:1 glide ratio. After retiring I thought it would be better to bring the wife and actually go somewhere. Our son is a 3 hour drive away, much easier flying at 100 mph and no traffic.

BTW: If you think you want to fly a power plane, it costs ~$10,000 to get to the point of solo flying. Our soaring club charges $500 to join but that includes all of your instruction and use of club gliders. Four 40:1 2-seaters and a single seater. Just pay for the tows. Switching to power is a little training and a log book sign off.

I've actually flown a glider with an instructor once, I really enjoyed it. Wondering now if there is a club in my area.
