I got this 1974 MGB as a gift from my son-in-law's mother after his step-father died from a horse riding accident. I had already worked on this car for him before the accident. She wanted to keep it in the family, but none of the kids wanted it. I was more than happy to take it although I sure hated the way I got it. Still have to replace the camshaft, seats and seatbelts before it hits the road.

Nice freebie.
Last of the chrome bumper - if you don't count the rubber "extras".
Pull them, ditch the Rostyle wheels for some knockoffs, and a convertible top. Then you'll have one the way God intended.
Great little cars. I loved a 71 once (and a 59 AH Bugeye, and a 68 3000)

NICE "followed me home" find.
I never got any "closer" to one than going out with a girl who drove one. and daddy paid for her maint. & repairs so I never had opportunity to tinker.
keep us in the loop on progress.

Re: Something else keeping me busy
I have already started on it. Got rid of the big rubber "Sabrinas" first. New Delco alternator. New Holley 5200 carburetor, new turn signal switch, some wiring repair to fix the tach. Bought new door panels to put in. Debating on repairing the original seats or installing a pair of Miata seats that I have. Mostly just little things left except the cam change. Already ordered the cam, lifters, pushrods, and new valve springs and timing set. Here is a few more pictures.
