My Pack of critters

Post by Whiskerfish »

Bottom of the picture is Gabe, He is a 6 month old Foster for the Akita rescue I work with. I picked him and 4 others up from a backyard breeder about a month ago. Wild child we are working to get under control so he will be adoptable. He is currently at the Vet getting "Snipped"

On the right is my boy Bubba. He is a 6 1/2 year old Akita mix. Has serious dislike of strangers and is very protective but very loving of his Family. We have had him for about 5 1/2 years now

in the back is Joy. She was part of the Akita Rescue but I do not know if she has any Akita in her or not. She looks like a blonde shepherd to me. We have had her for about 5 years now. She is the sweetest thing alive. Loves everyone and everything.

On the left is Chief. He is a Long-Coat or Wooly Akita and is the most recent permanent addition to our home. I was Fostering him for the rescue but he has had some issues adjusting to other families and was an multiple adoption failure. Before he was adopted the last time I had him as a Foster for just over a month. He went away for a couple days and was returned and that is when I decided to keep him myself.

Chief is the largest at 95 pounds. Bubba is about 87, Joy is low 80's and Gabe is probably 60 or so but has a lot of growing to do.
Yes they eat a LOT and Yes I puck up a LOT of the other stuff lolol lolol lolol lolol

I love my doggie too.
We boarded him for 3 days while we went down to Soth Padre. I missed him something terrible. Apparently the boarding out fit said he was well behaved. But he gave the groomer a hard time. He hates getting groomed.
He was glad to see us when we picked him up. His name is Furgus Shamus.
An Irish Water Spaniel.
While I was catching up on paper work in my recliner he was napping on my left foot. I think he missed us too.

We are fortunate that the Lady that runs our rescue is the owner operator of a grooming business. All the rescue dogs know her and love going to spend time with her, also any adopted from the rescue get a special rate there. Works out great for us.
Actually she just added a Mobile grooming service

Wonder if she wanders down West Texas way? I'll put her up in the east bunk house.

Still wearing the "Cone of Shame" from his Neuter Surgery 3 days ago. Today is probably the last day. He is healing very fast.

Our little foster Furry Man Gabe was adopted yesterday. He now has his very own Teenage Boy to boss around! Wish him a long and happy life!

Gabe is beautiful. I'll bet that teenager is in for a real work out.
Good for both of them.

Gabe with his new forever family. We still have his Sister (Gabby) in the rescue so I will probably start fostering her in a few days. Have to do a Philadelphia Food run Tuesday and do not want a pup to be alone that long.
