1977 GL1000 Parts Bike

#1

Post by Black Hills »

1977 Honda GL1000 42,626 miles $725.00/OFFER. I believe the number 2 piston rod is broke, and there is a small hole punched in the top of the block. Bike still runs. Son and I rebuilt last summer and I think he missed a gear downshifting breaking the rod.
SOME items repaired or replaced listed below. I have a complete list if someone wants that as well as more pictures.
Trying to get his money back out of it. $725.00/OFFER
Located in Phoenix, AZ.
• Dunlop D404 100/90/19 tire and tube NEW
• Dunlop D404130/90/17 tire and tube NEW
• Forks rebuilt and new All Balls 22-1020 Steering Bearings
• All four carbs rebuilt using Randack’s Kits
• Spark plugs and points
• Front and rear master cylinders rebuilt
• Timing belt
• It has a Corbin seat that is quite old/faded but no tears
This bike does run but is not ridable due to oil blowing out of the top of the block. CLEAN TITLE. For sale locally as well.
If it doesn’t sell complete, I will be parting it out. Good bike for someone that has time to part it out or is rebuilding a 77.

If you end up parting it out I’m interested in the seat.

Same - if you end up parting it, I'd be interested in the gas tank, headlight, front turn signals and tires!

I have a 77 engine that turns over and is supposed to have 35K on it (in Texas) if you decide to go that route

guys would love to rebuild but this is my sons bike and he already replaced it. I am just trying to get some of his money back after we brought it back from the dead the first time. I will reach out to Mike and DSA later this weekend.

For what it's worth - I already have too many projects but I have a 76 & a 77 engine - If there is a deal that's too good to pass up -well I would offer you $600 dollars if you could meet me in El Paso (500 miles from me) - You'd probably be better off parting it out. Thank you, Scott
