Just up on CL today, a '77 that looks pretty fully restored/refurbished. Gorgeous.

Fun. Not sure if the owner is on NGW, but the post reads like a yes.

Still fits into the "2500.00" bike zone.

Ready to ride, but 5K is STRONG money. Along with the Boss here, not stock enough for the price, even perfect it is not a 5K bike.

It sure is pretty. Non standard paint colour makes it a customised bike. Customising unfortunately does not add value.
If it were a standard colour, with an original exhaust it is ambitious money.

Agreed. GL1000s in New England can be had for about half what the owner's asking, even in comparable condition, and a good bit less for projects that don't seem half bad - in the photos and descriptions at least.

It's interesting I found this post. This was my bike that I worked for 10 +/- years and you folks so generously voted it bike of the month in June or July 2019. The guy I sold it to here in Maine was an older retired guy, fell in love with it and I can't understand why he sold it unless all along he thought he could flip it and make some money. I started staring at the picture and I said, "Wait a minute, that was my bike!" action1 I've tried to contact the guy but I haven't had much luck, maybe he got COVID of something and had to sell it.
