Shipping costs, like many things are skyrocketing. I ship small packages around the world, mostly to the UK and the price is up 50 percent from a few years ago. And the service here in the US is absolutely horrible. It used to take about 8 working days to get something to the UK, the last one I sent took over a month using USPS. The other shipping companies want double or triple the amount. For some reason packages are being diverted all over the country before they go overseas. They used to go to Chicago and then leave for their overseas destination. The last two went from Chicago, then Miami, then left the country.

Don't get me started on what people are charging for shipping on fleabay.
I've been buying unobtanium parts for my fj from a business in Calif. He has had to resort to shipping first class because so many packages have gone missing on him.
One of my orders arrived in BC and a couple of days later when I checked on it, the Canada Post site said they attempted to deliver it  and couldn't so they sent it back...
I live on the other side of Canada..not sure how they attempted to deliver it..

For me, If it doesn't fit it a large flat rate usps box, it's probably not getting sent.

That said, I recently sent some parts to a ngw'r in Oz. At first we were shocked....then we kinda got used to it. Good parts are hard to find over there apparently.
1978GL1000 naked - kinda sadly gone. no bike at the moment.

I started to say something political here, but decided not to. I think most people with there eyes open saw the increased prices on everything coming. COVID was just a convenient scapegoat.
