Steering stem adjustment procedures

The GL1100, GL1200 and GL1500 share identical steering stem
bearings and very similar adjustment procedures. Though the
bikes differ in weight and steering geometry, the purpose of the
adjustment is the same. The goal of inspection and adjustment
is to insure there is no lateral or vertical play in the bearing
assembly, yet the bearings are not so tight as to impair free
movement of the steering.
