replacing stator with $40 GM alternator

I know how we like pics so here are some of a GM alternator installed under faux tank. Most know how expensive stators and related electronics are so this is a cheap alternative and excellent working replacement. This is a pic of it mounted crossy.gif

Another view. The stack is 2 stacks cut off original air cleaners and welded together. Unlike the poor boy kit she puts out 14.62 volts at idle with the 5" bottom pulley. and it looks better.

Bought a $12 pulley from tractor supply and pinned it to the timing belt pulley. The belt was $6 from Napa. I had to grind the fins down on timing covers and left out the gaskets so as to not have to kick the radiator out to much.

How'd you pin the pulley? Any photos of that? Nice clean mod.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

Usually nothing. It doesn't hurt anything to just leave it in there.
