They are sprung for this bike, I took it out on the road yesterday and it seemed fine.careful with those shocks. I bought a similar set and they worked well without the engine in, but I had to use every bit of preload adjust to get it to not bottom out when I sat on it with the engine in. I think they are really made for small 50cc type stuff and ruckus scooters, but with the spring compressed all the way I think they'll do.

Okay, managed to get everything setup, holding devices for the panels etc.
Base coat black first, then followed by the blue. Patience is the key.

Well, here it is. Worked on this all day and had just enough Majic Blue Pearl. Did some tasty detailing.

Looks excellent!
I like the blue. I thought it was Lotus Azure blue pearl, it's very similar.

Re: UPDATE! Painting is well underway, I'm liking the blue.
I managed to get all the panels shot with clear coat. I also got a little carried away with the tank logos. I was going with a CBX theme, with a twist, hopefully it will all look good once on the bike.
In the home stretch, wet sand and buff tomorrow then a day or two to really have the paint set and on they go.
Here's some shots of the paint process.
