SHE RUNS ! SHE RUNS ! party2 dancr :jump
I could hardly believe it, but she fired right up !!! Wog was right on the money ! I primed the fuel pump, as well as the float bowls with 180ml of fuel as per Randakk video, and the bike almost started on the very first crank :-D
Didn't even smoke, I was expecting clouds of smoke, spluttering and farting, at the very least - it was almost too easy action1

THANK YOU NGWC, from the bottom of my heart I thank you guys - you've enable a guy who has never worked on a motorcycle, to strip a 38 year old vintage bike down to the very last nut and bolt and rebuild it to this.
Without your advice, guidance, encouragement, and parts, there simply is no way I could ever have achieved this - you are my brothers for life, and I will always be in your debt and forever grateful anim-cheers1

Here's a vid of the start-up:

And here's a boring walk-around with no sound:

Sure is a good looking family. Very nice done Norbert. You seemed shocked at it starting, I don't know why with your skills. The bike looks and sounds excellent.

Magic Norbert, magic. After all that countless hours and problems the satisfaction is worth it. Hope you and the kids can sleep tonight.

Now every one needs a helmet and a spin around the block.

Enjoy it.

I have really enjoyed following your progress on this project and sharing it with my students.

Congratulations!

Now for the really fun bit of tying it all up with some paint and detailing.

Norbert;

I am totally blown away at how great your bike came out. If mine gets to looking 1/2 as good, I'll be happy.

The vid of the start up was excellent.

It amazes me that the bike motor parts poster I have in my living room looks, runs and sounds so well. (apparently it smells good too)

Good job! anim-cheers1
