Re: Customising my first Goldwing
The faux tank is actually fiberglass, I believe, with a metal frame that the halves are bolted to. As long as you're not cutting into the frame, it should be pretty simple to trim that lip off the rear. As far as de-linking the brakes, you can use the master cylinders from an '82, which uses the same calipers as the '83. Actually, I believe that the front caliper that is linked on the '83 has smaller diameter pistons. I know it uses two different rebuild kits for the front.

Thats a standard UK size garage, Its really only just to put your car in, but most people fill them with junk. Mines empty so I can get my Skoda Fabia and bike in there togetherzman wrote:Looks good so far..whats up with those garages, looks impossible to exit a car.

Andy,
Looking good, I like the style of bars, same as what I'm using and am wondering where you got those mirrors? They look like a trick pair of billet type and would suit my bike perfectly, do you know where you got them?
cheers

Looking on eBay and its gonna cost me about £100 (sterling) to get one :-( Of course theres not one in the UK so theres import and tax to pay :-(
So bobber here we come

Re: Customising my first Goldwing
Iv got a motad stainless steel system on this and I can't find graphite seals the fit the pipe to silencer bit. Bad design by motad is that there is 2 holes for the pipes but only 1 clamp. Any ideas on fixing the blowing at this joint.
