I'm getting ready to stuff this engine in. i suppose it's better to have the frame as a roller first? Or should I put the frame over the engine while it's stripped?

Putting the frame over the engine is much easier.

I could scratch that one up easily. Suggestions here are to wrap frame pieces with rags or pipe insulation to protect it.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

I was going to use blue painters tape.

Got a buddy to come over and help me throw the engine in frame.

Put some oil in her and threw the frame over. Shortly noticed an engine oil leak... NOT good.

Pulled the frame back off and tracked it down. Appeared to be coming from the rear cover.

Pulled the rear cover off and saw that I had left a washer on one of the studs which obviously wouldn't let the edges seal.

Removed the washer and ordered a new gasket, man I hate setbacks!

My thoughts exactly.

I had put that washer back on the stud so I would not forget where it goes during re-assembly.

I was mad at myself when I realized what I had done but also relieved that it wasn't something more serious such as a damaged mounting surface.

Ok so I drilled 3 rotors. I used two 3/16" bits and two 9/32" bits and chamfered the holes with a 7/16" bit. So 5!
