Handle bars for an 85
Just realized today when my new bars arrived that the 85 (at least the dressers) have One inch bars. Further complicated by reducing to 7/8 for the controls and grips. So anyone know of a nice low rise bar with both one inch center and 7/8 at the outer ends? OR--some other solution?

Re: Handle bars for an 85
I've seen 7/8" bars shimmed to fit in 1 inch clamps...

I used the shims when I put the 1200 forks on my 75.

Renthal Fatbar maybe, but it says the clamping area is 1-1/8" or 28.6mm. Not sure if that would work for you.

Re: Handle bars for an 85
Will some strips of 1/16 aluminum rolled into four pieces to fill the gap very much like crank bearings work? Be sure to put the top clamps on the correct way and tighten the front bolts first then the rears to finish the clamp forces. I believe there are dots that identify the front side. the gap is always at the rear on these.
