I see a blasting cabinet. Do you do your own powder coating?

Yes - I have a Harbor Freight gun and both a toaster oven and an old full size oven for larger parts. Pretty much taught myself. I have the best luck with pre-heating the parts (have to with aluminum to outgas it).

Just a little progress.

Front end is done, new seals in calipers, fork seals, new boots etc. on the calipers and Trac system.

Some progress on the fairing - Emgo Venom.

I got it on the road (no taillight) and everything seems to work fine. The front brake seems weak (new 14mm master cylinder) so I put the original back on and it felt the same. With the linked brakes it must be the way it is using the front brake by itself.

Need to take 3/4 to 1 inch off each end of the bars as they are just a touch wide for my preference.
Changed the thumb style choke to an earlier pull knob to use the new clutch perch.

Darkwing 2 seat arrived from Hot Wings Glass - it is just sitting on top for now.

Exhaust is next.

As I said my $1500 budget was/is shot. Unless something pops up I think I can stay around $2,000.

Give the brakes time to seat in. Will get better with use.

Regarding the brakes, I don't see brake pads or hoses on your spreadsheet or mentioned in the thread. Did you replace them? Some modern pads and braided stainless hoses would increase effectiveness and feel.

I ordered pads last night but haven't pulled the trigger on new lines yet.

I think it is probably ok but wanted to make sure the new master cylinder was OK.

What I could find is 14mm may have longer travel but should actually increase stopping power.

If the brake lines are original..you owe it to yourself to replace them..

Working on the GSXR exhaust.

Feedback on position / angle?

I wanted follow the angle of the frame more but not want them too far out the back.

I have a pair of those, thought I might try them on one of my builds. Will be interested to see how they work out and how they sound.

The GSXR1000 exhaust is all aluminum, flanges, pipes, etc.. I took a half step back a made a steel flange to attach the muffler to the pipe. This made it much easier to fabricate (my aluminum welding in not the best).

Got the angle I wanted (follows the frame) and all tacked in place.

Left side may be a little more difficult - have to work around the brake line and the muffler has a slightly different bracket.

That bike profile looks nice too. Nice work.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

Got the left side tacked together today - went much faster.

Center stand might have to be removed.

the way the angle of the muffle follows the frame and the angle on the back of the seat really makes it "flow" nicely.
