I am deferring to the Deadwood get together, and will put a west coast trip together next year. Kind of want to ride this year instead of hauling the food wagon.. LOL. As for what you ride, anything is fine.

Bike no problem, but I'm bagging the official thing due to lack of interest and a full agenda. It's a great ride there though and I'll probably go with my wife and son unofficially at some point this summer. You're welcome to come along if you'd like. We will take 2 days there and 1 day back and stay in motels.

I have spot 58. I like that Hillside area, thats fine if folks that are tenting want to be in that area. Fine for vans and wagons. Bigger trailers might want to be in the areas with full hook ups.

I was at Deadwood on the 20 year sleeper 78 gl1000 last year. I was a week early and could have gone south to meet the sohc 750 guys in Colorado and I considered hanging around there to meet you guys but at Mt Rushmore one of the timing belt idlers started shushing, I couldn't find the Honda shop I saw going out there, I was near I90 so I just turned east and limped it home (only 65-70 mph) and fixed it over the winter. Hopefully it's all good to go now. I'll have my racing schedule soon and can plan for this year.
