bstuebing wrote:Cliff, Paul rode a '78 red 'Wing with Harley mufflers that has to be the sweetest sounding GoldWing on earth. A nice deep but quiet sound.
I followed him on the U.S. tour that was led by Gord (Rat) on the first tour day. You should connect with him to see what he did to make the bike sound so great (since you seem to be having noise issues with what you put on your trike).
Thanks for the thought, Brian! "Paul" is 05c50?

I will get some thing figured out before too long! Although the presently installed Rush mufflers have actually increased the fuel mileage, up to 3mpg at higher engine/ground speeds , my hearing and the aggravation of civil people within a mile need some consideration and respect, too.

As soon as my buddy Ralph heard them coming into his driveway, he said, TOO LOUD! I do agree, but would much rather ride the trike than struggle changing it's mufflers by myself.
Eventually, I'll get one of our sons to yank them off the extension pipes when they stop by. ;)

Although I didn't know it, I actually was close enough to Paul in Ivy Lea last September that we may have even rubbed elbows.
Odds are, I couldn't pick him out of the crowd, though. ( He's said he has greying hair. ;) )

The incomparable Gord, I've had the pleasure of sitting with him at Paris Fairgrounds and Ivy Lea, too.
Canada is where I've personally been introduced to each NGW Club member I can identify, including the only fellow New York State NGW Club member I know, BlueThunder !

Although we've never actually met, in person, I know who you are, Rodger and Beth, Steve and quite a few more, as well. tumb2

Exactly!

Doug bought my breakfast the first time I met him, John (Oldfogey) and Pete (Ascot) on my first GL venture into Canada, at the Paris Fairgrounds, 2015! Then, 2016 Paris was next. Ivy Lea, 2017.
Each of those 3 times I've been in Canada on the trike, the weather has been exceptional, too... :-D

BTW - I'm just getting around to replacing that broken clutch cable from the 1000 Islands run.

Here is Paul's repair that lasted until I got home to PA.

Image

I'm keeping it in my tank bag just in case..

Thanks again Mark and Cliff for help with a replacement cable.

That is a huge load so Pauls invention should be mass produced so that we can all keep one in our tank bag.
