Elegant way to split the front brakes, and not have linked brakes.

A lot of folks have presented "builds" here and elsewhere. Sometimes these builds aren't really "builds" at all, but rather a compilation and reassembly of off the shelf or re-purposed bits. Many of these "builds" turn out really nice.

But, once in a while, we're treated to a ring-side seat to a real "build". This one, sir, categorically qualifies as a top-tier effort. Nothing too radical that will detract from the original utility of the machine, but solid, tasteful modifications. Fun to watch craftsmanship at work. I'm also getting anxious to see how it turns out.

And, man, is that puppy red or what? Get ready to draw a crowd. (Surely, you'll run it for a while before it goes).

Great "build"!

Was going to wait, because the "tank" isn't quite finished yet but it looks (to Me) just so good!

What are the chances we'd have two red monsters going together at the same time?

Nice work and thanks for sharing.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

Looking VERY nice! I wish I had some skill at painting...
I'm curious about the steering stabilizer. I've read a few accounts of the 1200 being a little 'cumbersome' at slower speeds, especially with lower bars. I see your other wing has one, do you find it an improvement?

That's the way it works, this time last year I was doing a dark green bike and another poster was also doing one. My luck to be out classed both times! :IDTS:

I have no problems at lower speeds, however it really does help at those times when one gets rather aggressive!

Just a couple of additions...
I'm sure everyone knows that if you remove the little insert from the rear master cylinder brake line bore, it is already threaded for a banjo fitting - just the fine thread one, you can run stainless hoses.

removed the front air hose fittings and lines, threaded the holes for 1/8"NPT-27 and plugged them.

Rear Caliper and SS hose...
Drilled the Caliper bracket in case I decide to add a speedometer later.

Sigh...
Alas, the Pittsburgh temperatures have taken a fall from the 50's to the 30's.
I have not got around to getting the last three sheets of plywood up on the ceiling so
no furnace for me again this year. So... now have to wait for warmer weather. I HATE THAT.
Every year around now I kick myself for not getting the garage finished, but when the warm weather
comes round, I seem to forget all about it. So close but so far...
