Hello from Indiana
Howdy. I'm Charlie and I've been lurking here for a bit because I haven't had my own wing. My uncle finally sold me his GL1100 so I figured I should make an intro post.
This thing is decked out with so much extra stuff that he was real proud of, but is not my style. I feel a little guilty, but I'm going to strip it down and put the extra stuff in storage. I've been looking at all the cool bikes on the forum and feel pretty inspired.
The bike has been sitting, but he went through it a bit before he sold it to me. I know for sure that it still needs the timing belts replaced. It's got 43,000 miles and has always been garage kept. I'm the third owner and pretty excited.

Welcome aboard.
Great that you're going to save another one!
Looks like he was a BIG fan of JC Whitney back in the day, like me

Re: Hello from Indiana
Welcome from Wisconsin. That's a very nice looking '83 (minus some 'farkles', lol!). 43,000 miles is a good start, and there's many more to be had! If you haven't found it already, there's a 'new2you' thread in ShopTalk that will give you some good direction on getting to know your new ride. There's a link to it in my signature.
Enjoy the ride!
Enjoy the ride!

Thanks! That 1100 is super clean looking. It’ll be a gem when you shed some of that weight.cdwillis wrote:

I had another four letter word I almost used, but I know some people value these things and didn't want to disparage it.rcmatt007 wrote:welcome to NGW..... one persons "stuff" is another persons treasure
