I started the process last month. Hope I get the same results
Colors will also be a lot brighter :-D
The first eye I had done is about the same as you discri9bed. The other eye is scheduled for Jan, 16. I'm hoping for good results on that one. May need glasses for close up stuff, but distant should be good. Been wearing glasses since I was 10 years old. Will be nice, but strange, to ride without them. Can't wait til spring

My insurance paid for basic fixed focus implanted lenses which are set for distance. I only need glasses for the close stuff so I use "blended" lenses so I don't have to constantly do the on/off thing.

Sounds like the same thing I'm looking at. Will probable opt for the same thing. Easier then trying to keep track of a pair of glasses

Gents;
I find, as I get older, that my balance is not what it used to be. Not on a motorcycle, but ladders and things that are more than 5 or so feet off the ground, I am more afraid of heights. This past summer I was up on my son, Barrie's, roof and I found it hard to transition from the ladder to the roof and once I was up there it was another 5-10 minutes before I could walk around freely. My eyes are still good (glasses of course). I think my reflexes are still good and I find myself thinking about Bob Seeger's song 'Like a Rock' more often.

I don't think that will change with age for me because I've never been comfortable on sloped roofs.

I always could see best close up, so I never wore my glasses at work. While my distance sight has improved somewhat, I now cannot see small things close up. I always took my glasses off (or did not wear them) when I worked on things. It would be a "learning curve" to have to put glasses on for close up work....

although I have also had to learn 6 different #@&% electronic medical records over the past decade (they all are lousy, some more than others)

Hills I can handle, although I might suggest he install a winch (or maybe an elevator) ;-)

Gents;
Gravity is your friend when you are leaving, for sure. He has a 4WD Toyota Tacoma and there are times in the winter when he parks where my truck was parked and walks up the hill.
