Be sure to get a room at the right place, not Stanton. The gal on the phone knew I said the wrong place and got me to the right place for the group.

The place in Stanton is the Abner Motel, and the one in Slade (the right one) is the Lil' Abner Motel. The reservations people are probably in Stanton, since the Lil' Abner is closed in the winter. Just let them know you are with the NGW Club. Hope to see you all there in September.

Hope all of you are doing well during these unprecedented times we are in. I am sheltering at home with my wife, daughter and 6 year old granddaughter. We have 40 acres of land, two four wheelers and a jeep to keep us entertained. We will probably look back on these times as some of the best times in our life. Every day is an adventure with a 6 year old.

Good Lord willing, all will be back to "normal" by September and we can go on with our meet in Slade, as planned. It is something we can all look forward to.

Keep your chin up and your eyes forward. Here is a way of coping:

• Avoid crowded spaces: Ride motorcycles.

• Do not use public transportation: Ride motorcycles.

• Well-ventilated spaces are virus free: Ride motorcycles.

• Wear gloves: Ride motorcycles.

• Keep at least six feet from other people: Ride motorcycles.

• Keep a positive attitude: Ride motorcycles!

See you all in September.

Whats the average lodging cost in the area? I'm not made of money and the 715 miles alone would hurt but I will try to be there, god willing.

the host site is $60 per night. It is sort of out in the sticks, so I am not aware of what may be close by or if anything cheaper. There may be (???) camping in the area as it is near a national forest and/or state park.

There may be someone needing a person to share a room in which case the cost is less. Except, I have to pay for both halves for the person I share the room with....

I think me and ArWinger will be able to go. Anyone going that will be riding through Arkansas on their way? Maybe could meet up somewhere around us and form a group. Safety in numbers they say.
