a Valkyrie IS NOT a Goldwing
Correct, it is a Nekid Goldwing. You simply can't deny it's origin.

Hmm, If it wasn't so early in the morning and I wasn't so lazy, I would attempt to create a list of parts that interchange between the two. It is a long list.

GWRRA fought this battle years ago, when owning a GoldWing was a requirement for membership. After a years' worth of bickering and fighting, they declared a Valk as a Goldwing; it was a money thing; increased membership dues immensely. To me, it's kinda like the "dead horse"; who cares......BTW....Honda Riders Club also declared it a Goldwing......

There are already sites devoted to Valks.
a Valkyrie IS NOT a Goldwing,
If it was...... It would be called a Goldwing and not a Valkyrie.
This forum was instituted at the request of several NGW members who also have Valks ... we’ve had a CX subforum for years ... didn’t hear you objecting to that ....

....... and you don't hear me objecting now.
Just stating a fact.
It became pretty apparent to me that this site wasn't "Naked Goldwing " exclusive when a bike with a sidecar got voted botm.
Ultimately, I don't care what bikes get discussed on this forum..... I like them all.
But......I think that if my Valk was a Goldwing, it would say that on the title.
--I registered over on the VRCC forum a little bit ago, and without going into details... I like it better here.

Bought myself a '98 Valkyrie (std) last year. Love the motor. Getting used to the rest of the bike. At one point last summer I was cruising along thinking what a great motorcycle it would be if we could put the Valk motor in my GL1200 frame. Slightly different seating position. Then I thought, well that's probably just what the 1988-2000 GL1500's are like. So I guess now I'm going to have to find and ride a 1500 'Wing just to see.
